Protest Puppets

Each year Elevarte Community Studio, organizes a Día de Los Muertos community procession in Chicago’s Pilsen neighborhood, a place that many ACT Collective members call home. In 2016, we participated in the procession and made giant papier maché calavera puppets referencing the tradition of mojigangas.
